Surrender + Magic

Welcome to Day 5 of Surrender + Magic! Here are your instructions for the day:

Today I have questions for you:

  • What is the world that you want to build from this chaotic, chrysalis time?

  • What do you want to feel like in the world every day?

  • What values do you want to be important… to society, to your family, to you personally?

When I think about the world I want to build, it is a world where we are all connected in the way that you've been feeling over the last few days: where we’re grounded, and tapped into something vast and old and wise. Where we are kind, and compassionate, and slow. And where every single one of us is worthy, and knows that they belong.

So here’s the perspective shifter:

Every single thing that we put out into the world either contributes to the world that you want to build or it doesn’t. At a time like this, where we’ve all turned to goo (I hope you read the chrysalis metaphor so that makes sense!), where we turn our focus, and what we DO, SAY, and SHARE, is going to put energy into one of the rivers of energy out there.

So instead of doing it by default, why not choose?

In the same way as your day can be bolstered or derailed by something another person does or says, I want to ask you to consider what *you* put out into the world, too, and how you are affecting the people you interact with. During this intense and changing time, it is so important for us to, when we are able, hold the connection to that deeper place, so that we are contributing to it, and making it stronger. The stronger the deep current is, the more pull it will have for others.

So, start to pay attention to where your energy goes.
Pay attention to how you affect the world around you.
And since you’re going to affect the world around you whether you choose to or not, maybe choose how you want to affect others.

TO BE CLEAR: I understand that in these changing, difficult, stressful times that it is hard to stay connected. Today’s exploration might seem simple on the surface but it’s actually… challenging :).

I also want to make very clear that this isn’t about perfection, or there being a ‘right’ way. You don’t have to police your thoughts, if you’re having a bad day, or want to have a meltdown. You are allowed to feel how you feel, and that doesn’t have to be great all the time.

The key with this is to have the intention: to see where you WANT to be contributing your energy. And hold that intention in the back of your mind.

Trust that it will happen more and more, the longer you stay connected to the deeper place.

What do you want the world to feel like?

And how can you give that feeling to the world with your words and actions?

Head over to the Mighty Network if you’d like to discuss your thoughts and findings.
