What if your wants wanted you, too?
Think about it for a moment.
We spend a lot of time and energy on our wants: whether we are working towards, or fighting for them… or hiding them, ashamed of them, or afraid that they are too big.
Sometimes we fear that if we give voice to our wants it would mean that we’re ungrateful for what we have.
Wants become complicated, and so wanting often feels bad.
Shameful. Too much.
We should be happy with what we have.
Not only that, but, we spend a lot of time feeling the distance between us, and the thing we want: as if the wanting of something only makes us aware of the fact that we don’t have it.
It feels disempowering… maybe even a bit depressing.
We do not express our wants, and do not feel worthy of them to begin with.
But, it doesn’t need to be that way.
So I’ll ask you again:
What if your wants also wanted you?
Would knowing that in your bones change how hard you push towards your wants, or how hard you push them away?
You see, our wants are not really about the thing we want.
Nor are they about other people.
Our wants are about us.
Our deepest selves.
Our shining hearts.
Wanting is an expression of the movement of your energy in the world: we can no sooner shut it off than we can stop the flow of the tide, or the sun from shining.
Your wants are an expression of who you are.
And when we start to change our relationship with the energy of wanting:
Seeing it as a freedom of expression.
Allowed. Good. Beautiful.
Then our relationship with the THING we want changes too:
We stop seeing how far away we are from it. Stop feeling disempowered by it, and start feeling… joyful, because we are hearing the echo of our hearts beating back at us from the future.
Wanting isn’t about the end-goal, or ‘getting’ things.
Wanting is about the freedom of your heart.

A free 5-day workshop in which we dive deep into exploring our wants. Who you are, what you are here to express, what your deepest wants are, and why it is so healthy and good to feel them freely.
This workshop is an introduction to, and a celebration of, my upcoming boundaries course, but it is a complete course in and of itself.
This workshop will start on June 4th, and finish on June 9th, with a bonus Q&A call on June 10th.
It will be hosted on Facebook, in a private group that will be taken down when the course is over.
